Donna's Memorial Service

We can celebrate a friend's life in many ways.

Yesterday I participate in a wonderful celebration for my dear friend Donna Marie Braun Lacerenza (I always said to her: -'what a gracious name you have').

Between tears and laughs we shared Donna's memory while watching a beautiful video with her pictures (of course, I cried the whole time) and I had the opportunity to hear some new and old stories about how Donna loved to work at Disney, specially in the Rail Road.

The food beautifully disposed was delicious and we sent almost everybody home with a plate (my hubby loved the meatballs :) The inspirational words from Reverend Bob Schall made us think about what kind of eternal life we'll want to have one day - because our Lord Father is preparing a home for us.

Many people came to celebrate with us, others sent a note through FB or cards by mail, others prayed at home, and many Donna's friends celebrate her life in another way… I'm thankful to God for all of you. You made Donna very special in your 'unique way'!

*** Many people helped me since Donna was hospitalized until she passed away, I cannot name all of you here… it's to many. But some of you shared day-by-day with me…

From the days Donna stayed at the hospital/hospice I will be eternally grateful for the life of Ed Medina, who shared with me many sad, funny and difficulties decisions ever we needed to make with our Donna :)

I want to say a special thanks for the Boop's - Mr. Joe & Jane - and Joe Rabello, who took care of each detail for Donna's Memorial Service and many other things!

Carol Omundson and Nate Hinkle for being on the phone all the time trying to get information that way we could give everything for Donna's sons.

Mrs Michelle Rabello for her kindness and professional job when we moved Donna to the hospice.

For the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice - they were amazing people taking care of Donna and... us :)

Also I want to say thanks to the people who were behind the scenes all the time giving me strength and love through Donna's last days - my husband Adriano and my daughter Camille: You loved my Donna and I love you for that!

God is good all the time and He makes a way in our lives... always.
